Earlier care is usually simpler, gentler on the body and followed by a quicker recovery, so you can return to your normal routine sooner. This is not about pressure or panic. It is simply that time, once passed, cannot be brought back, and waiting rarely makes anything easier.
Many women delay because they are anxious, unsure, or hoping the decision will somehow make itself. That is completely understandable. But the assessment itself is nothing to fear, and being seen early keeps the most gentle options open. If you are even thinking about it, the kindest thing you can do for yourself is to come in and talk to us.
The decision is yours — the assessment should not wait
Whether or not to continue a pregnancy is your decision, and you deserve time, privacy and support to make it. We will never rush that choice or judge it. What we do gently encourage is not to delay the medical assessment, because your options are shaped by how early you are seen. You can take the time you need to decide while still being checked promptly, so that when you are ready, the simplest path is still available to you.
What being assessed actually means
When you come in, the first step is a calm, private assessment. We confirm the pregnancy, and a simple ultrasound scan helps us understand your dates and make sure the pregnancy is in the right place. That matters, because an early check can pick up a problem such as an ectopic pregnancy, where the pregnancy is outside the womb and needs different, prompt care. We also ask about your general health and any medicines you take.
We do not decide anything by a calendar rule you need to worry about in advance. Your dates decide the options, and that is exactly what the assessment is for. There is no need to work anything out yourself beforehand — come in and be assessed, and we will explain clearly what is suitable for you.
The options, in plain terms
Broadly, lawful abortion care follows one of two routes. There is the medicine route, and there is a short procedure. Which one suits you depends on your assessment and your dates, and we will talk you through what is appropriate in your situation. What you do not need to do is arrange anything yourself or follow instructions found online. Safe care is always guided by a doctor, in person, from start to finish.
Both routes, when the right one is chosen and carried out properly at a licensed facility, are safe and dignified. Coming in early simply means more of these gentler choices tend to be open to you, and recovery is usually quicker.
This is lawful, and it is private
Ending an unwanted pregnancy is lawful in India when it is done at a government-licensed facility, under the MTP Act. You do not need anyone's permission but your own. Whether you are married or unmarried, you will be treated with the same respect and the same confidentiality — unmarried women are just as entitled to this care, and we see many. Why you must come in person
Please be careful of anyone who promises to send medicines by post or courier, or to arrange an abortion over the phone. That is not safe, and it is not how proper care works. To receive any abortion service you must come to the hospital in Goa in person, so that you can be properly examined, your dates confirmed, and the right care given and watched over safely.
An online or phone consultation has one purpose only: it lets us understand your situation, tell you whether treatment is likely to be feasible, and guide you on the next step. The treatment itself is never done remotely. Think of the first call as the door opening — the care happens when you come in.

I am unmarried. Can I still be treated?
Yes. This care is lawful in India for both married and unmarried women, and you will be treated with the same respect and confidentiality as anyone else. There is no judgement here.
What happens at the first assessment?
