Why do we explain every charge before treatment?
When you are facing an abortion, the last thing you need is uncertainty about the bill. Many women carry a quiet worry that the figure at the end will be different from the one they were told. We understand that worry, and we answer it in the only honest way: by explaining everything before treatment begins.
Honesty is part of quality. You should be able to decide with full knowledge, and you should never be worrying about the bill while you are recovering. So the estimate you receive is complete, it is explained to you in person, and once treatment begins the hospital bill is fixed. There is no surprise added later.
What does the complete estimate include?

Why is the estimate based on the ultrasound, not your last period?
Many women work out how far along they are from the date of their last period. It is a natural place to start, but it is not always accurate. Cycles vary, dates are easy to misremember, and light bleeding in early pregnancy can be mistaken for a period. So the age of the pregnancy measured on the scan can differ from the age calculated from the last period.
The ultrasound is the accurate measure, and it guides the right care for you, so your complete estimate is based on the scan rather than on a calculation. How can blood tests change the estimate?
Your blood tests show us the safety picture before anything is done. Often they simply confirm that all is well. Sometimes they reveal a higher risk that needs attention first. Anaemia is a common example: it means the blood carries too little haemoglobin, most often because of low iron, which can leave a woman less able to cope with normal blood loss. Other results, such as your blood group and blood sugar, also help us plan your care safely.
If a test shows a risk like this, you may need extra care to keep you safe, such as iron injections, or sometimes a blood transfusion. That extra care changes the estimate, and we explain it to you before treatment begins: what was found, what we recommend, and why it matters for your health now and in the future. Can you get an estimate by phone?

It can give you a general idea of how the estimate is worked out, and it can tell whether treatment is feasible and guide your next step. But the complete estimate can only be given after you have been examined, scanned and tested in person at the hospital in Goa, because that is when the age of the pregnancy and your safety picture are clearly known.
